This week’s question is from a viewer who asks if getting thumbs-ups and likes on your video affect how the video ranks in search. The answer is yes, but we don’t know how much influence it really holds. We just know that all engagement surrounding a video on YouTube affects it’s rankings in search, but I’m assuming that there are other engagement factors that play a bigger role in it’s video SEO than likes and thumbs-ups.
On Video Creators we discuss how to leverage YouTube as a social platform and use it to build an audience. If you’re a YouTuber or an online video creator, we’d love to have you subscribe and join us!
