Let’s talk about Facebook Groups and some strategies to use (and not to use) to help grow and monetize your page.
The very first thing is your NAME. Your name needs to explain exactly what your group is – don’t go for vagueness and creativity, get straight to the point to show what your page is all about.
Second, post on your personal profile. DON’T JUST ADD MEMBERS. Make people who want to join go to you. Facebook likes groups that have tons of engagement, and if you have a bunch of people in there who aren’t doing anything, well, that just won’t benefit anyone.
Third, engagement inside the group. You want Facebook to take your group and introduce it to other people and the only way to do that is with good engagement. There are two ways to do this: one is post divisive content – opinionated content that will trigger people to comment and engage with your posts. Another way is to post valuable and interesting content that will make them more curious and interested.
Fourth, make your group centralized. Find your target market and stick with it. Make it a community of people dedicated to that on niche.
Lastly, post on other groups. Now, DON’T SPAM YOUR OWN PAGE. Instead, build a relationship with the people of that group. Post relevant topics and your own success stories to the point where people familiarize themselves with who you are and look into you (and then find out about your own group 😉).
