Competency Based Education (CBE) connects student success in the classroom to workplace readiness. CBE is not the latest fad or trend from accrediting bodies; CBE approaches have been integrated into higher education since the 1960s and 1970s. Recently, the development of new models and the integration of older CBE models allow educators to revisit, rethink, reshape, and rebuild teaching and learning using technology and innovative approaches.
